I hope you all had a great weekend and enjoyed celebrating ‘Father’s Day’ as a Dad, celebrating with your Dad or even remembering your Dad. I had an amazing weekend with the children spoiling me, having brought me gifts and lovely cards. It feels nice to be appreciated and to share your appreciation for someone you love. Well done to all the Dad’s out there. (Mum’s are amazing too ❤️).

I always thought I was open minded and looked for the positive from new ‘things’. Not that I like change all of the time, but that I would, at least, give something a go. Then all this talk about AI started to get more popular and then last week, whilst delivering a session for a client in London, I realised I’d written off ChatGPT as anything useful.

I was surprised how a delegate was inspired and engaged in the use of this product, whereas I only looked at the negative things and wasn’t considering the possibilities it offers. So, when I got back to the office I had a look at the web site, joined (for free) and started to ask it to do things. It is actually amazing and, I’m sure, will have many good uses and save some people a lot of time and effort.

Will it ever replace jobs that humans currently do? Probably! I can imagine it can, and will, replace some form of arduous task that no human likes to do, at some point. I don’t like the feeling knowing that a robot is having a conversation with me online and I can’t speak to a human being to get answers, but that’s something we will all have to get use to.

How do you feel about AI development? Are you engaged with it and embrace the potential it has, or are you resisting the inevitable? Personally, I am ready to watch the show unfold and be amazed by the offering it has. I will use it to generate a MM soon and I hope you all keep an eye out, to spot any potential differences in style, and give me some feedback.

This quote for George Bernhard Shaw sums it up nicely:

“Progress is impossible without change, and those that cannot change their minds cannot change anything”.
