MM376

A slightly later MM this week due to other activities at weekend taking more of my time. Sometimes it’s good to prioritise other things and the weekend was absorbed with Grandchildren and family stuff.

On Saturday I managed to sit down and watch a film, in the afternoon, without feeling guilty and on my own! (‘I care a lot’ was the film on Amazon Prime – it’s worth a watch). I still have some books to read so will begin a new one this week and I might search for another film to watch, when I want to relax for a couple of hours.

The beach was a focal point and spending time building ‘villages’ in the sand was a highlight on Sunday. It sounds quite simple but, often, it’s the simple things that give you more joy! We didn’t even have proper buckets and spades, we used a plastic tub to create our magical village surrounded by volcanos and decorated with shells and sticks.

We did end the time with a hot chocolate, coffee and, of course, ice creams for the kids.

So, today we are getting news on the gradual easing of restrictions and I’m hoping it will allow me, and all of us, the ability to enjoy some more simple things in life. I know my Son can’t wait to start playing football again and I am looking forward to having a BBQ with friends as soon as we are allowed. Once again, simple things in life that have become more meaningful now.

I hope your week is full of simple pleasures and you appreciate everything you have.
