I met up with my mate to do a CrossFit session and after we had finished we caught up quickly. He is currently busy with work and travelling all over the place, his life is hectic.
I have also been very busy and we haven’t really had the chance to catch up, which I miss.
Sometimes life gets so busy some things get forgotten or overlooked. It takes real effort to keep in touch and keep all the plates spinning at once. I really don’t know how I would manage it if I had a job, like most people have!
People seem so hectic, I don’t know how they fit everything in.
I have a fairly easy life, in comparison, and dictate when I work. Being self employed gives me that luxury, but, having said that, I still have bills to pay so actually need to do something to bring the money in.
This week I am in Madrid for 2 days, followed by London for 2 days, so I don’t get to see my family until Thursday, which I don’t like. This sometimes needs to happen, in fact, the month of June is busy so I have to accept that I will be up against it and will probably drop a few plates. I know that it is temporary and I will get space to breathe again soon.
You have to step up and deliver when it is required, but then, you need time to chill out. I do like the thought of being busy but I love the idea of spending time at home, going to the gym and chilling out on my sofa, at home, watching TV.
Too many people I know are ‘uber’ busy and don’t take a breath or live in the here and now. I drop the plates now and then and forget to do things, but, on the whole, I get some down time as well. It’s important to enjoy life.
